The Royal Court

My approach to each piece I create is the opportunity to tell a story. The inaugural edition of The Dispatch is centered around my latest collection, The Royal Court. This collection features my signature use of materials and narrative presentation. This is the tale of how the Majestic Peacock became frozen in time, encased under a glass watch crystal cage, where he still remains today.

His precious heirloom was a beach-pebble encrusted ring with marvelous green sparkling diamonds, which - was an caught the eye of the Majestic Peacock who envisioned this treasure for himself. The Peacock could not abide anything in the kingdom having more attention than himself, so he and The Mystic colluded to capture the Peasant’s Ring. The Mystic’s Eye Ring, holding a prized Brazilian Quartz, was created to lure the gaze of the peasant, and it worked perfectly.

The ring was snatched unknowingly from the peasant. Once the court soon learned what had happened, the Jesters sprang to action to reunite the peasant and his ring. The Jesters asked the alchemist for assistance to create the Greatest Rings in the World; five pave-set, sterling-silver spheres to present to the Peacock.

The Jester’s Magic Earrings

Hand-built in oxidized sterling, 22kt gold, 18kt gold, aquamarine, and pave-set black spinel.

When he saw the Alchemist's Spheres,  the Majestic Peacock became confused, he could not understand their construction. While the peacock was under the stupor, the Jesters used the power of their Magic. In a flash of gold and aquamarine, the peacock was trapped beneath a crystal where he was cursed to watch as the peasant was reunited with his ring, and all was peaceful again in the kingdom.

All of the pieces in this collection are one of a kind.
